What is PR and what can I expect?

Frequently Asked QuestionsWe feel it important that all our clients receive a first class PR service so here at Persuasion we’re all about clarity and communication. This starts by helping the client develop an understanding of PR and its benefits.

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), the professional body which represents the industry and of which Persuasion is a member states: “Public Relations is the discipline which looks after reputation, with the aim of earning understanding and support and influencing opinion and behaviour. It is the planned and sustained effort to establish and maintain goodwill and mutual understanding between and organisation and its publics.”

It’s about clearly communicating your vision and values so that they are heard and understood and then ensuring that everything you do and say re-enforces them – building reputation.

So what does this mean? PR could alternatively stand for profile and reputation. Managing the reputation and raising the profile of your business or organisation. This is done for a variety of organisations for a variety of reasons.

Although there is no magic bullet and no guarantees, public relations can be a force for change, a change that can be of real benefit to your business or organisation – however big or small.

What sort of service can I expect from Persuasion?

We back up our communications expertise with customer service of the highest level so that clients develop complete confidence in the process.

Persuasion can provide detailed qualitative and quantitative research programmes to measure perception, awareness, attitude and perhaps most importantly, reputation – providing valuable data for use in the strategic planning process. We will provide regular updates on the progress of the campaign and constantly monitor its effectiveness.

We work hard at seeking out new trends, new ways of working and new ways of promoting your business or organisation, either through new media, traditional media or direct community and stakeholder engagement.

We recognise that by helping your organisation to flourish we help our own business to grow. We have our own reputation to build and strengthen and that relies on the quality of the work we produce for you. See the case studies section for more information on how we have helped our clients achieve their goals.
